This gland packing is often found in sump pumps, chlorinators, alkaline softeners, slip-type expansion joints, strong acidic situations, charcoal plant heat oil pumps, reciprocating rods, rams and plungers. Chemical resistant for pumps and preshrunk rotary equipment to avoid packaging wear and printing shaft soft, flexible but very porous excellent choice for rotary shaft service.
Gland packing is a 5889 continuous PTFE filament fiber packing pump style is a stable yet relatively soft and flexible dimension packaging. Treated with PTFE dispersions and inert materials, it's an excellent choice for high-speed rotary shaft services at sea, waste / water treatment, and the most volatile applications. Pre-shrink to avoid packaging wear and shaft scoring, Style 5889 is also very non-porous.
