Synthetic Rubber / Elastomer.
Starting from the end of the second world war, synthetic rubber developed more rapidly with more types. currently there are dozens of types of synthetic rubber with various characteristics, and it continues to grow.
Before World War II, only natural rubber was available. so that it can be said that for engineering purposes there is no choice but to use natural rubber. In line with the use of natural rubber for various purposes, the weaknesses of natural rubber have begun to be discovered which has caused scientists to strive to create certain types of synthetic rubber to replace natural rubber, along with several types of rubber which are often used for manufacturing industrial machinery parts:
SBR (Styrene Butadiene Rubber), is a substitute for Natural Rubber (NR). Has characteristics similar to Natural Rubber which is Chewy, Not Easily Tear, Hold Swipe. Often used for wheels, mounting, belt conveyors.
NBR (Butadiene Nitrile Rubber). NBR rubber is resistant to Oil and Oil so it is often used for Machine Seals. NBR is a material standard for O-Ring manufacturing.
