This gland packing has a rough and non-toxic form ideal for use in food processing applications that are resistant and of stable dimensions using flexible materials that are resistant to caustic media materials that meet USDA requirements and meet FDA titles 21 CFR 172, 878 177, 1550 178, 3570 and 178.3620.
Style 5904 is made of high purity PTFE filaments lubricated with fine mineral oil which complies with USDA and FDA standards. It is also very chemical resistant and suitable for use in caustic services.
Style 5904 is recommended for use in rotaty food processing equipment such as blender mixer pumps and stove dryers and acid mining pumps.
